1 Timothy 4:12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Behold Him There, The Risen Lamb!

We sing this song all the time in youth group. Today it as been stuck in my head, so I decided to share it with yall!
Verse 1:
Before the throne of God above,
I have a strong, a perfect plea,
A great High Priest whose name is “Love,”
Who ever lives and pleads for me.

Chorus 1:
My name is graven on His hands,
My name is written on His heart;
I know that while in heav’n He stands
no tongue can bid me thence depart.
No tongue can bid me thence depart.

Verse 2:
When Satan tempts me to despair,
and tells me of the guilt within,
upward I look and see Him there
Who made an end to all my sin.

Chorus 2:
Because the sinless Saviour died,
my sinful soul is counted free;
For God, the Just, is satisfied
to look on him and pardon me.
to look on him and pardon me.

Verse 3:
Behold him there! the risen Lamb,
my perfect, spotless Righteousness,
the great unchangeable I AM,
the King of glory and of grace!

Chorus 3:
One with Himself I cannot die,
My soul is purchased by His blood;
My life is hid with Christ on high,
with Christ, my Saviour and my God
with Christ, my Saviour and my God

What ever happened to the idea of 18th century gentlemen?

I'm sure you all have either seen or read Jane Austin's Pride and Prejudice and wonder what happened to the dashing gentlemanly Mr. Darcy of those times. When the women respected men and the men captured the heart of their maiden. Have you ever stopped to think those times are not lost? Now your probably thinking, "back up the train there girl, have you met some of the guys today?" Yes, I actually on numerous occasions I have had guys be gentlemen, and some not so gentlemanly. Fact of the matter is how we treat them when it happens. If the guy holds the door open for you, how do you act towards him? In today's world saying thank you doesn't happen often anymore. Arrogant femininity of today makes us either ignore the guy, or put him down because you think you are more then capable to do it yourself. So the guy will more then likely give up after awhile and never try to change. Then the girls end up wondering what happened to the gentlemen of Jane Austin's world. If we want guys to be more gentlemen and heroic, we shouldn't scorn or bash them. God calls us to respect and reverence them. (Ephesians 5:33) I know this verse talks about a wife and husband, but the same principles apply to us unmarried women. Practice building up the guys in your life right now. have faith in our almighty God and what he can do through man! Next time you wonder where Mr. Darcy is, pray. Remember, God is never limited to any guys weakness. He is more interested in the guy's soul then you are!

A little bit about me.

Hi, as you can see my name is Rebecca. I just wanted to start out by telling you my testimony. I was born in a Christian home and always heard Jesus died for me. I thought I got saved at the age of four. When I was fourteen I started thinking alot about it and realized that I never understood completely, so I talked to my mom. On June 29Th, I accepted Christ as my Saviour. Studying my bible lately has helped me to have a better understanding that salvation is not as complicated as some people make it out to be, it is simply opening your heart to God and letting Him do the work in you (Philippians 1:6). It is resting in who He made me to be!
